K-Pop Playlist Ideas

Ready to get your K-pop on?

If you’re new to the genre, it can be hard to find songs that you like.

Luckily, this list will show you some of the best K-pop songs for every mood and situation.

Songs by BTS

While BTS is the most popular K-Pop band in the world, they’re also one of the most successful.

The seven-member group has managed to break records on iTunes and Spotify, and they have a huge international fanbase.

BTS’s popularity has allowed them to get more creative with their music, as well as expand into other areas like acting and hosting award shows.

Their songs are known for having positive messages and themes that encourage self-love and acceptance.

Many of their hit singles are perfect for workouts because they feature fast beats (and some great dance moves).

Songs by Red Velvet

  1. Red Velvet is a five-member girl group under SM Entertainment. They made their debut in 2014 with the mini album “Ice Cream Cake.”
  2. Their first release was “Happiness,” which went on to become one of the group’s most popular songs.
  3. Other singles include “Dumb Dumb,” “Russian Roulette,” and more.

Songs by NCT127

NCT is a subgroup of South Korea’s biggest K-Pop boy band, NCT 127.

The group debuted in 2016 with the release of its first EP, NCT #127. In 2017 they released two albums, Regular-Irregular and Limitless.

Their most popular song to date is “Regular” featuring American rapper Haechan from Super Junior.

Songs by BLACKPINK

  • “As If It’s Your Last”
  • “Playing With Fire”
  • “Forever Young”
  • “Stay”

Songs by Stray Kids

If you’re a Stray Kids fan, you’ve got to listen to these K-pop playlists.

The group is a South Korean boy band that was formed in 2018 by JYP Entertainment.

Their debut EP I Am Not was released in March 2019 and had two singles: “District 9” and “Hellevator.”

In addition to the songs listed below, check out these tracks from Stray Kids’ other albums:

  • “Awkward Silence” (2019)
  • “I Am You” (2018)

Songs by ITZY

ITZY is an up-and-coming girl group that consists of five members: Yuna, Lia, Ryujin, Dawon, and Chaeryeong.

Their first song “Dalla Dalla” was released in 2019 and it is a great addition to your K-pop playlist because its upbeat tempo will help you stay energized throughout the day.

The second song by ITZY titled “I Don’t Know” has a slightly slower sound than their previous release but this doesn’t mean that it is any less exciting!

The slow tempo allows for some beautiful harmonies between each member’s voice as well as some impressive rapping from Ryujin in the middle of the song.

This is another great choice for your K-pop playlist because it’s perfect if you want something mellow but still uplifting!

Songs by EXO

  • EXO is a South Korean boy band formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011 that currently consists of 9 members: Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, Xiumin, and Chen. The group has released 7 studio albums and 16 extended plays since their debut in 2012 with Growl.
  • From the release of their first EP Mama (2012) to their latest album Don’t Mess Up My Tempo (2018), EXO has sold over 6 million albums in South Korea alone! Their success worldwide is evident from the fact that they have won several awards including Best Worldwide Act at MTV EMAs 2017 as well as being nominated for various other awards like Mnet Asian Music Awards 2016 Best Album Award for Exodus which also happens to be their first full-length English album released internationally under CCM Label Group in partnership with SM Entertainment USA Inc.
  • We recommend listening to any song from these artists but here are some recommendations of our favorite tracks by these groups:
