What is Your Night K-Pop Playlist?

You’ve had a long day and you’re ready for bed, but your K-Pop playlist won’t stop playing.

You’ve spent hundreds of hours listening to it, so what do you do? You roll over and let it keep playing.

But why? What makes these songs so special that they can invade the last moments of your day?

Well, I’m not going to tell you anything about how they sound or what they mean, because that’s not what this is about.

Instead, we’re going to go through all of them in order and talk about something else: Your night! Because while these songs are great at any time of day (or night), they’re especially suited for nighttime listening…

AWAKE by Dreamcatcher

AWAKE by Dreamcatcher is the title track of the group’s third mini album, Awake.

The song was released on October 4th, 2018, and features a rap by group member Yoohyeon (#4). It was written by group leader Jihae.

The music video for AWAKE is inspired by horror movies, with scenes of graphic violence as well as imagery from films like The Sixth Sense (1999), The Ring (2002), Saw (2004) and Child’s Play (1988). For example: in one scene we see members JiU (#1) and SuA (#2) tied up in a dark room with their hands bound behind their backs; later we see her lying dead on an operating table while blood seeps out of her mouth; later still we see SuA running through a forest chased by someone who is trying to kill her.

The rest of the video follows this pattern—it alternates between scenes where our main characters are fighting off evil forces against their will or trying desperately to escape them, and other scenes show flashbacks that explain how they got into these situations.

This song is all about how you can’t stop thinking about someone.

It’s a song about how you feel like you’re in love with someone, and how much you want to confess your feelings to them.

The lyrics of this song are so beautiful and the melody is amazing too, so it’s definitely worth listening to!
