What K-Pop Groups Have Spotify Playlists?

K-pop groups have become one of the most popular things to listen to on Spotify.

If you’ve ever listened to the Korean music streaming service, you know that it’s filled with all kinds of K-pop hits.

However, if you’re looking for something else new and exciting in your life, here are some K-pop playlists created by some of the most well-known K-pop artists:

1. BTS (방탄소년단)

If you’re a BTS fan, you already know that the group has an extensive catalog of songs on Spotify.

But did you also know that they have their own playlist?

The “BTS World” playlist was released in March 2019, and it features 24 tracks including all of their studio albums.

It currently has over 1 million followers and is updated regularly with new additions from the group.

2. EXO (엑소)

EXO has a playlist on Spotify called EXO Planet that includes 10 songs.

The songs are from their albums, including “Ko Ko Bop”, “Tempo”, “Power”, and more.

3. NCT 127

NCT 127 is a South Korean boy group formed by SM Entertainment.

The group consists of ten members: Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Johnny, Doyoung, and Jungwoo.

The band was created through the 2017 series NCT Life Web Drama “NCT Life” which follows the lives of several fictional characters in the NCT universe.

It debuted on March 10th, 2018 with its first album titled “The First” which has songs composed by famous producers such as Teddy Park who also worked on BTS’ Love Yourself: Tear album, and Hitchhiker’s “Feel So Good”.

4. TWICE (트와이스)

TWICE is a girl group from JYP Entertainment that debuted in October 2015.

The group consists of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung.

Tzuyu joined the group after their debut as a new member but left to pursue her studies overseas.

As of 2018 she is still an official member and performs with TWICE during the majority of their appearances together.

The K-Pop world has embraced TWICE’s a unique brand of catchy dance songs and playful personalities since they first appeared on TV shows like “Sixteen” and “IACAB (Idol Accomplishment Award by Cable Broadcast)” in 2015.

This popularity helped them achieve great success internationally through tours throughout Asia as well as North America and Europe beginning in 2017 with The 1st Tour: Twiceland – The Opening Act which included stops at arenas around the US including Barclays Center in New York City where they performed alongside artists such as Taylor Swift on June 3rd (2018).

5. BLACKPINK (블랙핑크)

If you love listening to Blackpink’s music, you’ll be glad to know that they have a Spotify playlist!

The playlist is called “BLACKPINK” and has 20 songs on it.

It was created in 2018 and has been played almost 1.3 million times.

6. GOT7 (갓세븐)

Got7 is a South Korean boy band that was formed in 2014 under the label JYP Entertainment.

The group consists of seven members: JB, Mark, Jackson, Yugyeom, Youngjae, Bambam, and Jinyoung. Got7 has released two studio albums and two EPs so far.

Got7’s music can be described as dance-pop or hip-hop fused with pop-rock elements.

Their lyrics are mostly in English but they also write songs in other languages such as Japanese and Chinese (Mandarin).

7. MONSTA X (몬스타엑스)

MONSTA X is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015. The group’s name is an acronym for “Monsters of Nothings” and their fandom is called “Moons” or “MonBebe”.

The group debuted on May 14, 2015, with the mini-album Trespass and the title track “Trespass”.

They are known as the first K-Pop group to release a song on Spotify.

Their second EP Rush was released on May 26, 2016, with the lead single “Rush” which peaked at #15 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

Their third EP The Clan Pt 2.5 Lost was released digitally on January 31st, 2017 with eight additional tracks from their fourth mini album Clan pt1 Lost released in March 2017 including their most popular song to date “Fighter”.

8. IZ*ONE (아이즈원)

IZ*ONE (아이즈원) is a girl group created by JYP Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment.

They are the first girl group to debut under JYP Entertainment in 15 years, following TWICE’s debut back in 2015.

IZ*ONE released its debut EP, COLOR*IZ on October 29, 2018.

The album contained five tracks including “La Vie en Rose” which entered the Billboard charts at #82 and peaked at #71 on the World Albums chart.

Their first mini-album BAAM was released on April 25, 2019, with seven tracks including their title track “U R Man”.
